Synopsis
This is an updated edition of "Modern World History", which has been revised to meet all the core requirements of AQA's 2003 Modern World History specification. It follows the format of the first edition, with the same user-friendly style that can improve students' exam grades. It selects the content that forms the basis for the most popular AQA exam questions and presents this content in a way that makes it easy to revise. Each chapter includes analysis of past AQA exam questions, explains what examiners are looking for in students' answers and helps readers direct their revision accordingly. The text also helps students plan their revision to avoid last-minute panics and encourages active revision with carefully structured in-built revision tasks.

John D Clare says:

A sound book that is linked specifically to the GCSE exam, but not laid out in a format which makes it easy to revise from.

John D Clare says:

Not really a revision book, but it is written by senior examiners (ie the men who set the questions!).   Sounds like a sensible book to read, to me.   The core book is especially clear, and includes exemplar questions.   You can read it at two levels - Core for clever pupils, and Foundation for any of you who struggle to understand.
