The New GCSEs (from 2009)

The coming of the new GCSEs from September 2009 has left me with a bit of a problem, because - as you will know - the 'old' GCSEs will continue to be taught until July 2010, when the last exam on the old syllabus will take place.

This is because the johndclare website is geared up  - in its exam advice, revision notes, worksheets etc. - to helping people with the 'old' GCSE.

To change the site to meet the new syllabus will not only be a huge task, it would confuse the hell out of all those pupils halfway through their old GCSE course, if they were suddenly to find that the site had been changed to suit the new GCSE.

I HAVE THEREFORE DECIDED that I am NOT going to change the site for the time being.

I am going to leave the site as it is until after the exams in July 2010.

SO:
bullet

People in Year 11 (in your last year of the 'old' GCSE): you can be assured that this site will be there to give you all the relevant help you need right through to your GCSE exam in summer 2010.

bullet

People in Year 10: please note that - whilst most of the content is still absolutely appropriate - this site's advice/ revision sheets/ worksheets etc. will continue to be aimed at the 'old' GCSE until summer 2010.  After that I will set to and make the site 'fit' the new GCSE syllabus.  As I say, you will find that you can still use much of what is on the site now, but if you want totally-focussed new-GCSE-advice and guidance, you will need to buy my textbook:
