Level 1: Simple extraction of information from the source e.g. able to understand and recount information from the source

Level 2: Basic understanding, with simple inferences e.g. able to understand and recount information from the source and to draw meaningful conclusions/inferences from that.

Level 3: Complex understanding and deduction/interpretation i.e. an answer which links ideas and facts from the source and comes to a deduced conclusion which is not evident in the source.
Pupils get no credit for using their own knowledge to answer this question, or for evaluating the reliability or usefulness of the source. |
