Chapter 4: Changes in the Economy

The 18-19th centuries in Britain are known as the 'Industrial Revolution'.  It has been said that Britain invented the Industrial Revolution, and then gave it to the rest of the world.  It is perhaps the most amazing thing Britain has even done, yet nobody knows exactly why (or when or even whether) it happened.
